Bon Secours & EVMS to Hold a FREE SPOTme® Skin Cancer Screening

Bon Secours Cancer Institute and EVMS Dermatology are pleased to announce an upcoming free SPOTme® Skin Cancer Screening, where participants will have the chance to get spots or moles reviewed for signs of skin cancer. If any suspicious spots are detected, then participants will be referred to a dermatologist for follow-up.

About 3.5 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed in this country each year. In fact, skin cancer cases outweigh all other cancers combined, and 1 in 5 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with skin cancer. However, skin cancer is treatable. Early detection is key. That’s why Bon Secours and EVMS Dermatology are teaming up to offer this free SPOTme® Skin Cancer Screening.

“Bon Secours strives to build and develop healthy communities,” said Michael K. Kerner, CEO of Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System. “By providing health information and screenings we hope to encourage improvements in wellness and quality of life.”
